Releasechimps.org
Overview
Project R&R (Release and Restitution for Chimpanzees in U. S. Laboratories) is a campaign of the New England Anti-Vivisection Society (NEAVS). The site aims to mobilize public support to secure the release of chimpanzees now in labs into permanent sanctuaries. It is the most comprehensive and informative resource on the Internet covering the use of chimpanzees in research labs.
For ReleaseChimps.org, Zayko created a “hybrid” layout, combining traditional table layout with CSS layout and formatting techniques.
In addition, we implemented a powerful and versatile content management system, powered by PHP and hosted on a low-cost, reliable Unix server. The system allows in-house personnel to easily update content, publish news, alerts & events, etc.
The site won an IMA Outstanding Achievement Award for 2006. The Interactive Media Awards™ recognize the highest standards of excellence in website design and development and honor individuals and organizations for their outstanding achievement.
Visitors’ feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.
